May 3--North Carolina gets the news
May 9--People in Charleston, SC hear about it for the first time.
Advances in communications played an instrumental role in the formation of the United States in the late 18th century. And also, it took two weeks (at the very least) for news to get from one part of the country to another.
British General Sir Henry Clinton noted "It is...astonishing with what rapidity the news [of Lexington and Concord] spread from one end of the continent to the other." It took 2 weeks, and that seemed ridiculously fast to him.
