Yes both things can be true at the same time. Entirely accept that
Problem is, if Austin was a regular bully, & I have no reason to disbelieve Laura, it was even more of a misjudgment to discipline him
(a) at the apex of a fierce debate about antisemitism,
(b) for his conduct in calling it out,
(c) at the same time as non-bully Margaret Hodge
Why choose that moment, of all moments? If everyone knew he was a bully. No responsible organisation would have done it without considering the significant risk of victimisation.
