Again, use your brains! Who was in charge of Venezuela for almost 2 hundreds years? THE SAME FAMILIES who want their Venezuela back! Venezuela in which a small minority of white people get ALL THE PROFIT. Chavez simply nationalized oil and used profits to LIFT UP the poor.
Chavez was extremely popular and Maduro was popular at first too. BUT THEY DIDN'T CONTROL THE COUNTRY, The reason is they were actually NOT dictators. So they suffered constant sabotage from the rich, which were allowed to keep their homes, 3/4 of V's wealth, trips to Miami.
So you know from the news that Chavez and Maduro's great mistake that they didn't diversity the country's economy and only relied on oil. But they were in power less than 20years, what logic is it to return the power to those who didn't diversify Venezuela's economy in 200 years?
In fact US and Maduro's internal enemies (and when I say enemies I mean it, they are trying to kill him) USED the fact that the socialist party relied only on oil, everything else stayed in the hands on the rich, so prices of oil were artificially driven down to finish off Maduro
Sanctions and blockade were then imposed to create a humanitarian crisis. The situation was ripe for a coup, but notice the opposition is so extremely unpopular and could not even do a coup without US help. They are now calling for US military intervention.
Who said "the deaths are an investment?" Maduro? No, the coup leader said that a few days ago. He also admitted the purpose of the aid was to weaken Maduro politically, whether he allowed the US aid in or not.

Correction: he didn't nationalize it, it was already nationalized in 1975, but he tightened the government control and started using the profits to finance anti-poverty programs. The original nationalization was not used to spread profits to ALL Venezuelans.
