My newest LEGO project - a Launch Utility Tower (LUT), scaled to match the popular LEGO Saturn V set. The tower was designed by a super-fan and is made up of about 8500 pieces!
I spent 1.5 months getting parts from my collection and ordering many more, and then organized them all in a recently-vacated basement room:
After just a few steps the base begins to take shape:
And after many more steps, the structure is coming together nicely. It has to be very strong to support the tower and the rocket!
After 110 steps, all of that beautiful internal structure is now hidden forever. Onward and upward, as they say!
