My newest LEGO project - a Launch Utility Tower (LUT), scaled to match the popular LEGO Saturn V set. The tower was designed by a super-fan and is made up of about 8500 pieces!
I spent 1.5 months getting parts from my collection and ordering many more, and then organized them all in a recently-vacated basement room:
After just a few steps the base begins to take shape:
And after many more steps, the structure is coming together nicely. It has to be very strong to support the tower and the rocket!
After 110 steps, all of that beautiful internal structure is now hidden forever. Onward and upward, as they say!

Late last month we launched a very helpful self-service management feature for Amazon WorkSpaces. Users can change their running mode, compute type, and disk size. They can also rebuild their WorkSpace. The feature is accessible from two locations. First, before signing in:

A very nice update to Amazon Rekognition: improved face detection, analysis, and recognition capabilities in challenging conditions. Detect 40% more faces, match faces with 30% better accuracy, and get improved attributes (age, gender, emotion).

I think this is... kinda true, but also... I think people in general underestimate their own capacity for this

what's the difference? I suspect most people have "too many folders"
first of all I actually *fail* to retain/process a lot of info. ask my wife. I am *extremely* scatterbrained. this isn't a humblebrag. I have many of the classic ADHD symptoms and it costs me.

it just so happens that when I'm good, I'm really good. so there's a sort of illusion
If I were forced to summarize my "method" in a soundbite:

I play "association games". I use the canvas of my life as a living memory palace. I "sort" everything through the lens of my interests and curiosities.

While I'm a classic "ENTP", this is actually a game of emotions

For this new version, I’ve finished texturing the wall sections and painting the doorways. I also have some construction detail pics and notes on construction variations. Here’s the Black Baron and his friend Leo (aka “Tin Hat”) entering the first room.
I’m going for something easy to construct on the fly from pre-assembled components, with a nice balance of playability and appearance. Half-height walls are one of the decisions I made early.
