1/ Social media warps everyone, but it warps celebrities even more. It allows you to block all your critics, but still be inundated with fans who agree with whatever you say, no matter how wrong it is.
2/ Since so many of your fans agree with you, it must obviously be the occasional critic who is in error. And of course, the more critics you block, the more the remaining critics seem to be in error.
3/ I don't block anybody, BTW. I think this is important in keeping me sane. Sure, I'll be a dillhole on Twitter, but I'm not shielded from critics.

1/ An important basis for hacking is providing hostile input. The reason this is difficult is that engineers don't know what "input" is.
2/ Take the "Blaster" worm as an example. It worked by sending a long computer name over Microsoft's RPC mechanism. RPC works by taking internal data on one computer and sending it to another as internal data.
3/ The flaw in this thinking is recognizing that in between, it's external data, that it's "input". The computer on one end could never generate a computer name longer than 16 characters, so if that's internal data, it doesn't need to be checked.

1/ So maybe here's a good chance to talk about all the markings on a microSD card. What do all these codes mean??
2/ First, is the vendor. Toshiba/WDC(SanDisk) are the largest maker, working in partnership. Samsung is the next largest. Micron/Intel had a partnership and were #3, but they've disolved it.
3/ The maker of the card combines lash with a controller. The brand you buy, like Lexar, Patriot, Kingston, etc. may not have been the actual maker of the card, they just put their name on it. You can find the actual maker by looking (on Linux) in /sys/block/mmcblk0/device/cid

Note that we hackers have been using DMA attacks since the 1990s, starting with Firewire devices. While these "Thunderclap" attacks are new innovations, the basic concept has been around for a long time.

2/ DMA means "direct memory access", it means the hardware copies data to/from memory, bypassing the CPU, bypassing software drivers. In theory, a device on a DMA-capable port has full access to memory.
3/ To prevent this, modern computers now have IOMMUs, similar to the older "MMU", the "memory management unit", the feature of modern CPUs that prevents user-mode apps in the operating system from messing with kernel memory. IOMMU is just an I/O version of the MMU.

Like the salient feature isn’t just that the brain uses parallel computation rather than digital, but that it has several complementary parallel TYPES of computation occurring simultaneously, AND is part of several dynamic systems (body/senses/environment/tools/language/society)

Leavers have already started campaigning on social media to win a second referendum - with even more extreme lies than in the first referendum.
This is happening right now, and we cannot afford to ignore it.
This fake news is ALREADY being shared extensively by Leavers, especially on Facebook and Twitter, with lies about what is going to happen if the UK remains in the EU. And it is already 'leaking' onto the timelines of ordinary voters - many of whom may believe the lies.
I have posted the main points of the fake news being shared below - the original posts are much longer than this, and are quite well written, so could be believed by a lot of voters.
This meme is my first attempt to debunk these lies.
