1. Shoot me down if you want but I’m seeing two different stories here. On the one side we’ve got politicos, media commentators, academics, luvvies etc grasping inaccurate forecasts based on hopelessly outdated and innacurate methodologies to rubbish the UK economy.
2. On the other side we’ve got businesses, the employers and wealth creators having to massively up their game in the light of change and uncertainty, with an eye to still being there in the future.
3. So they’re looking hard at their business models, innovating, creating, ducking, diving, increasing their knowledge of how the world works. Paying up for talent, creating record employment, ripping up their business models and preparing themselves to cope in a new environment.
4. Business people don’t whinge and moan and throw the towel in. They get on with things. Yes, right now the Brexit uncertainty is a problem but we’re creating a new way to deal with the world and shaking off the plodding mediocrity that the EU brings. Embrace the future.
