/ 👇🏽👇🏽 It is easy to underestimate the longevity of the largest franchises. Part of our thesis in both @supercell and @NianticLabs was that their games would be around for a long time.
/ I wrote a post in 2016 on whether @PokemonGoApp would be an enduring success. It is still a top 10 grossing game, 2.5 years after launch: qr.ae/TW7PKr
/ Similarly, @ClashofClans launched in 2012 and has generated over $4B in revenue on iOS alone. It continues to be an incredibly powerful franchise and will be around for years to come. pocketgamer.biz/news/68484/app…
/ These games are delivered as a service, meaning developers can keep the content fresh with new characters, levels, features, etc. @PokemonGoApp as an example has much more depth today than when it launched in 2016.
/ @FortniteGame may not be able to sustain its peaks but will certainly follow the same path as other top games. Expect Epic to continue investing in the game and building the community across platforms.
