1/ 👇🏽👇🏽 It is easy to underestimate the longevity of the largest franchises. Part of our thesis in both @supercell and @NianticLabs was that their games would be around for a long time.
2/ I wrote a post in 2016 on whether @PokemonGoApp would be an enduring success. It is still a top 10 grossing game, 2.5 years after launch: qr.ae/TW7PKr
3/ Similarly, @ClashofClans launched in 2012 and has generated over $4B in revenue on iOS alone. It continues to be an incredibly powerful franchise and will be around for years to come. pocketgamer.biz/news/68484/app…
4/ These games are delivered as a service, meaning developers can keep the content fresh with new characters, levels, features, etc. @PokemonGoApp as an example has much more depth today than when it launched in 2016.
5/ @FortniteGame may not be able to sustain its peaks but will certainly follow the same path as other top games. Expect Epic to continue investing in the game and building the community across platforms.

I once sat in a room with an environmental scientist describe to me in painful detail how he tested ice from the top of the Himalayas and found polyester microfibers in them.

They are so small, THEY CAN BE CARRIED IN AMBIENT AIR CURRENTS.
They are too small to be filtered out by most municipal water treatment centers, so I've been told.

Like literally, the testing they're doing on these is the same stuff they did to provide lead air pollution was a big deal.

Sugar daddy au with a twist where Yoongi is a producer just starting out, and while he's happy he took the risk, he's struggling to make ends meet, often having to rely on his friends for help. They really don't mind since it's never anything much, food mostly, and they love him.
But Yoongi's unhappy with it, doesn't like mooching off his friends, so one night when he's been sulky after having to share Hoseok's dinner instead of buying his own again, Hobi's trying to cheer him up and jokes about how Yoongi should just become a sugar baby.
And Yoongi laughs, because that's ridiculous, he doesn't feel comfortable sharing his body for money and honestly would prefer to be the daddy if he had the money to do something like that anyway.

Thread about what Putin said during an interview with Austrian TV, specifically about Ukraine & Donbass (s/shots below):

1. This topic is very contentious, well, on social media anyway. The idea that Russia should simply annex Ukraine has been floating around for a long time.
2. According to social media the solution is very simple: Russia sends its regular army to Donbass, and then from here they, together with the militias, advance up the Dnieper towards Kiev. Then it is simply a matter of storming the Rada & standing on its roof with the RF flag.
3. This story is, of course, delirium driven by the Hollywood entertainment industry and video games. Russian troops cannot enter Ukraine, period. And we know Russia entered Syria to approach the grand problem from a different, more convenient (less risk involved) axis.
