The assertion that political power proves competence is not always true. Perceived political power can sometimes arise from chaos. On the other hand competence always results in power but it is primarily rooted in information not chaos.
When we choose among paths to power it is important to distinguish which is based on information and which is based on chaos. One is creative the other is destructive. The former inhabits the space of answers the latter the much larger space of error.
It is sometimes useful to ask: what can a political movement do besides rearrange things and give stuff away? Can it actually do something constructive? When put that way the first 500 names in the phone book are often superior to the top 500 celebrities.

The only to survive is by succeeding. The USSR, Cuba, Venezuela, the ME dictatorships etc all proved vulnerable to economic and social collapse. Tyranny is no substitute for competence.
In the contest between totalitarian human ant-heaps and reality (ie God), it's God by a landslide. This is a lesson the West must not forget. The narrative never beats the truth.

Message to Generation X: please HELP Generation Y (millennials). A lot of Generation Y’s are very powerful people who have been mislead. Some heavily abused. Many broken families. And they are lost. Provide them with guidance and wisdom and you will know who the right ones are.
The issue with Generation Y is they believe they have no hope. They turn to drugs, the media or toxic belief systems to fill a void which deep at heart is a lack of purpose or place in this world. They are the result of 100 years of collective brainwashing at its final stages.
However, Generation Y is powerful because they are incredibly awakened and many are indigo/starseed children who are searching for TRUTH. And we all know how deceptive present society is towards truth. They fall into these false paradigms because it’s the dark forces guiding them

Having finished The Authoritarians, it's time to start a new thread of #IanLivetweetsHisResearch. Today I am finally getting past the introduction of How Propaganda Works by Jason Stanley.
Having slogged through some proper academic writing in my day, Stanley's writing is blessedly accessible. But after Altemeyer's light tone and constant dad jokes, Stanley's reads as pretty dry.
So far the introduction is full of a lot of quotations about the nature of democracy, from Victor Klemperer to Elizabeth Anderson to Plato. OF COURSE Plato.
