The day after the Justice Department released the redacted Mueller report, the White House reportedly sent Barr a letter attacking the report for its level of detail in describing potential crimes by the president. www-m.cnn.com/2019/05/02/pol…
The letter argues that, because Mueller felt DOJ policy precluded him from charging Trump, he should not have even outlined the evidence against Trump, and implies the White House intends to invoke executive privilege in upcoming battles over the report.

Notably, even the White House’s own letter acknowledges that Mueller’s report is a “road map” for “Article 1 committees”—in other words, a referral to Congress to continue investigating and hold the president accountable. cnn.com/2019/05/02/pol…

He explicitly did not “exonerate” Trump. Instead, he reiterated that DOJ policy prevents indicting a sitting president, but that, “if we had confidence that the president clearly did not commit a crime, we would have said so.”

Mueller began and ended his statement with the fact that Russia attacked our democracy in a systematic fashion.
What he left out: The Trump campaign knew before anybody else, and did everything they could to aid and abet Russia's attack.

I know everyone is clamoring to start the impeachment process & I want Donald out as much as anyone else because each day brings new & more more dispicable behavior. BUT, I know that we have to allow Congress the time they need to do this right & I believe they’ve got this.

We’ve already seen that Speaker Pelosi has the ability to play Donald like a fiddle. She’s said that Donald isn’t worth it & that impeaching him isn’t good for the Dems politically... that might be true, but I believe there’s more.

First, let’s go back in history for the first impeachment in recent memory (the one that didn’t involve a sexual relationship) Watergate. The Watergate hearings in the senate started in May 1973 & didn’t complete until a year later.

AG Bill Barr's hearing before Senate Judiciary is underway. Chair Lindsey Graham's opening remarks spend a lot of time on Peter Strzok (the FBI agent involved early in the Russia probe who sent anti-Trump texts), saying they'll focus on the origin of the probe post-Mueller
We now have Mueller's 3/27 letter to Barr. What he said:
- That Barr could release intros and executive summaries of both volumes asap
- That Barr's 3/24 letter "did not fully capture the context, nature, and substance" of the special counsel's work
