This is Hebron in the West Bank.
Hebron is the home of one of Islam's holy sites, the Ibrahimi Mosque.
It also happens to be a Jewish holy site named after Abraham as well.

1. I'm Avery Alder. I design tabletop games about self-doubt, troubled relationships, queer community, and the apocalypse.
2. I currently live on the unceded territories of the Squamish, Musqueam, and Tsleil-Waututh (in the city colonially referred to as Vancouver). But in a few months I'm actually going to be moving! Me and my family are going to be looking for a long-term place to put down roots.
3. I started gaming with D&D 3.5, and dissatisfaction with the game and the play group nudged me into doing my own design work. I somehow managed to get school credit for independent studies in rpg design, and published my first game about a month after graduating high school.
