Today, as Scott Warren's misdemeanor trial for leaving water for people in the desert on #CabezaPrieta, the refuge ironically posts this about the importance of drinking water in the desert - for pronghorns:
which they must resupply with water driven through the wilderness area on trucks. Today @USFWS regional director Juliette Fernandez testified that they put blue flags on animal water tanks, but this water is not safe for humans to drink.
Judge Collins asks, "water in blue flag tanks isn't potable - How do you make sure people know it isn't safe to drink?"

Fernandez from @USFWS answered: "Yeah, I'm not sure."

I was really hoping to elect a person of color, and I still have some interest in Harris. But she's getting too much heat for her prosecutor background. Besides Warren has the most policies that align with my view of America, AND she knows how to make those goals achievable!
And Buttigieg... I'm still learning about his ability to govern, but I'm continually impressed by how worldly and hella SMART he is. and he's obviously had some inside experience of oppression as a gay man from middle America.

How are Potholes formed?

The images below are of the recently tarred service lane at Oshodi, work here was completed barely 6 months ago.

So, apart from the obvious poor quality of work done, why & how exactly did the Potholes occur?

The Wikipedia post basically outlines the issues as a failure in the fabric of the road due to moisture beneath the road surface & fatigue from vehicle load.

The article points more at snow as being the moisture enabling culprit but we obviously don't have snow in these parts.
'Snow' may therefore be substituted for another firm of precipitation - rain (and subsequently water).

#Today's story to #EndFamilySeparation Four months ago, Dad and 4-month-old entered at the Texas/Mexico border and requested #asylum. Dad and child were immediately separated and the baby put in ORR custody. #FamiliesBelongTogether
Dad was detained in a #Texas detention center where @RAICESTEXAS consulted. Dad accepted a deportation to be quickly reunited w/ his infant child. However, the Dad was deported & NOT his child. The now 8-month-old baby has been in ORR custody for 4 months. #EndFamilySeparation
The Mom and Dad now have once weekly Skype calls with their 8-month-old baby. That's right, folks. They Skype with an infant. #EndFamilySeparation #FamiliesBelongTogether
