Atheist believes that things that don’t talk, say things to him.
I also note for the record that Randy is essentially admitting that “you are your soul more than your body.” He’s simply using “the brain” as a metonym for “the psyche.”

Saying “the brain” is that in us which thinks/is aware is the same as saying “the Crown” prosecutes people.
Metonymy is the trope of using “X” in place of “Y” where X is closely associated with Y.

Obviously, in embodied humans, the brain is closely associated with the psyche.

Are they identical?

No, can’t be. They have different properties, so they aren’t the same THING.
You can try to make a case that the brain “creates” or “generates” the mind, but no one ever has made such a case successfully.

It also easy to make a case that the mind creates or generates the brain, since we only know of brains via EXPERIENCE, which occurs only in the mind.
For example, it is logically possible (and perhaps there is even some positive evidence) that we live in some sort of simulation/Matrix. If so, all our experience is artificial. This would include experience of brains. A “brain” could be an artificial experience in the program.
To end where I began, Randy the Atheist is 𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡 making the error of thinking that data 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙩𝙨 𝙞𝙩𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙛.

That’s wrong, but what he means by “brain trauma 𝙨𝙖𝙮𝙨 …”

Brain trauma doesn’t 𝙨𝙖𝙮 anything. It is just a state of affairs.
Actually I’ll end with Nietzsche’s barbed ridicule of this way of talking. Just apply what Nietzsche is saying to the single organ, the brain (since Randy the Atheist is too dumb to grasp the role that e.g. the nervous system and the rest of the body play in cognition).
