There is only one interpretation of the #GameOfThrones finale that makes any sense at all and here it is. SPOILERS, OBVIOUSLY.
Of course, Bran becoming the ultimate Ruler of 6/7 Kingdoms comes across as an extremely Stephen Bradbury move, but was it really? #GameOfThrones
You could write off the miraculous change from the whole "I can never be Lord of Winterfell. I can never be lord of anything" to "OH YES I CAN BE KING OF EVERYTHING" in just a matter of weeks as bad writing, but what if - just maybe - Bran is totally full of shit. #GameOfThrones
We assume he's the Three-Eyed Raven because he says so, as well as a few visions only he sees, but he never actually uses any of his all-seeing powers for any purpose at all. #GameOfThrones
When he confirms that Jon Snow is indeed the legitimate heir to the throne he only says it after Sam says if first. Like a sideshow fortune teller who repeats information they've just received as if it comes from a magical source. #GameOfThrones
Did he use any of his omnipotent powers in the war to save humanity? To overthrow Cersei? No. The dude literally just sat under a tree. When he supposedly 'warged' into the ravens in battle they just flew around and did nothing - JUST LIKE ORDINARY RAVENS WOULD DO. #GameOfThrones
So he tells everyone he can see and know everything that's happening, and has ever happened in all history and everyone just believes him? But then he doesn't know the whereabouts a giant dragon that thousands of people saw fly away? I don't think so, Bran. #GameOfThrones
So the sum total of things Bran has achieved with his secret, known-only-to-himself, completely omnipotent power to know all is... making himself king of everything. #GameOfThrones
And immediately after he becomes king of everything the whole weirdo, zero-empathy, detachment schtick miraculously softens and he's able to chat with his family, rule a kingdom etc. #GameOfThrones
The only possible explanation is... Bran was never the Three-Eyed Raven. Everybody just thought he was and he let them die protecting him even though he never helped anyone. He used his "story" to remove all of his rivals for power. #GameOfThrones
And ultimately used it to wreak revenge upon the people who all those years ago had crippled him... the Lannisters. And his ally in all of this? The guy who despite all his public hand-wringing over betraying his family, ended up killing them all - Tyrion. #GameOfThrones
There was a moment at the start of Season 8 when Bran and Tyrion are staring at each other weirdly. There's a theory that Bran told Tyrion about Jon's lineage, but it obviously goes much further than that. #GameOfThrones
How else do you explain that Tyrion, who whispered useful-idiot Jon into murdering his queen? Only to conveniently ignore that he's the rightful heir and when asked to explain who should be king, chooses the least likely prospect out of thin air? #GameOfThrones
Nope. Bran lied. Tyrion lied. They conspired in an elaborate grift to destroy the Lannisters, murder all rivals, and install themselves into power, as King and Hand. The bad guys were in plain sight the whole time, and they won. END. #GameOfThrones #BranLied
