The last few days I've done '10 Things to do in City X', because, well, I was bored and I love helping people find cool stuff to see. Today is the turn of Berlin, since it won the last poll. One of my favourite cities, here's the stuff to see you may have missed!
10. Berlin Wall Memorial - Preserved section of wall and watchtowers, as well as memorial to all those who died trying to cross the wall. Good museum with interpretive film too. Walls don't work! maps.app.goo.gl/AFdNZiSDX8f6za…
9. Deponie No. 3 - Again, I usually don't put restaurants on these lists, but this former tank garage is now a really decent Berliner 'kneipe' (pub) serving local favourites. maps.app.goo.gl/sZfNSj1J1vdSXK…
8. German Historical Museum - The @DHMBerlin covers the history of what is modern Germany from the middle ages until the present. Very spectacular collection, and the present exhibition about the fall to Nazi tyranny looks great. maps.app.goo.gl/eUvm85c5crGT3r…
7. Sanssouci Palace - Frederick the Great's getaway crib when he wasn't forging empire and creating the idea of a Germany. Very much showcases the particular tastes of the Prussian monarch. maps.app.goo.gl/e7e4NiD9fKrZvh…
6. DDR Museum - Yes, touristy, but far from dumb. Really good look at life behind the wall, and @DDRMuseum doesn't whitewash anything. Very well done, and worth your time. maps.app.goo.gl/ixCJ5wZufUBvpV…
5. German Resistance Memorial Centre - Many Germans resisted the Nazis, before and during the war. The courtyard of the building in which this excellent museum is housed is where Stauffenberg was executed after the failed July 20 coup attempt.

4. Hohenzollern Crypt - Underneath the Berliner Dom (Cathedral) is the last resting place of many of Germany's former imperial family. The baroque caskets are extraordinary. maps.app.goo.gl/M3UHcHB1xMobTy…
3. Reichstag Building Roof - If you pre-book, you can go up on to the roof of the seat of government & look both out over the city and down into the building. Look for the preserved graffiti of Soviet troops left when they stormed the building in 1945.

2. Mauerpark Flea Market - If you go on a Sunday, you will find hundreds of stalls selling some truly crazy stuff. Great way to pick up some very unique Berlin souvenirs.

1. Victory Column - Yes, you can climb it, if you're fit - 300 steps. Great views, however, and you can do your best 'Wings of Desire' impression. maps.app.goo.gl/2CXsxiQ5YD8s1x…
Hope you enjoyed that! Where next?
