You know that suspicious moment 3 years ago when Farage claimed he’d lost, the pound bounced up, and then Farage was seen smiling watching it crash. His backer Odey and partner made £330m that night. And the Sun ran with the false concession
There’s another oddity about the Sun’s coverage of Brexit. They led with the headline BeLeave, just as @shahmiruk’s Vote Leave offshoot was illegally given £625k to spend on Cambridge Analytica/AIQ Facebook ads. Sun gave Vote Leave £97k
Just to be clear the Vote Leave offshoot was called BeLeave.

The Left is in retreat across Europe. The far right gains or loses at their expense, and from traditional conservatism. Why is this happening? What does it mean?
One continuous theme is that the right, though it disagrees on different elements in different countries, has conflated social liberalism with economic neoliberalism (though I hate the word and this will explain why)

Vote Leave spent at least 40 per cent of its budget on the controversial Canadian electioneering and data company AIQ, and more than £2.7 million on automated targeting – including 1,433 ads aimed at specific groups of people on Facebook, viewed more than 169 million times.

I was taught growing up that "No means no." I pushed back, I said no, I SCREAMED no. He assured me that I wanted it. I panicked in my mind, I screamed, but I had no strength against him. I went to a different place in my mind in order to endure what was happening to me.
