Today I didn’t realize it was the day my best friend killed herself until somebody asked me the date. Which maybe is healing, but it doesn’t feel it. I miss KT every day.

And if you know someone who may be suicidal, do all the things you’re thinking of, but aren’t sure if you should. Trust me, without my friends who realized something was wrong, and who made hard choices to intervene, I’d be dead now.
The suicide hotline is 800-273-8255. They are there for you. They want to help. Call them. Call your homie. Call the girl you had a crush on in high school. Reach out. Whether you’re feeling it or someone you know is. Please.

Cameroon, meanwhile is in the midst of a long standing, bloody war between English speakers and French speakers. Both countries can be extremely dangerous if you’re on the wrong side of things.

It’s telling that Pence’s propaganda tour included this. Not because it was a failure, but because they knew this would be perfectly fine with enough Americans that they could include it
Make no mistake, there will be somebody who says “well, those were adult men. Not kids. So see! It’s not so bad.” And if we’re setting the bar for our nation’s moral character at “not torturing children” that might be an argument that assuages your guilt
But it shouldn’t, because even if you choose that inhumane standard as your version of righteous, you know full well it’s a lie. If they let the press parade through there with Pence, they chose it over the spaces they didn’t want you to see for a reason.

Aight so after three or so weeks, I sat back down at watched the rest of When The See Us. Not entirely sure I can recommend binge watching it, because it is a masterful depiction of pain and helplessness and strength and defiance and an awful fucking lot to sit with at once.
I loved that it focused on the kids. Even in the best of the sorts of movies, there’s generally way more focus on the lawyers or families. Being their story makes it all the more soul rending.
Anyway, watch this movie, no matter how long it takes.

Hey friends, do you have depression? Anxiety? PTSD? Some other mental health issue that occasionally puts you into a crisis and you feel like you need someone's support but don't get what you need?

I'm going to walk you through how to make an action plan.
This is something that might take days or weeks to make and is usually best worked on when you're feeling OK and fairly positive, though there are places when taking notes when you ARE having a bad spell might be good.

Just having one makes me feel a lot better, though.
1) When you're feeling well, how do you know it? This can be a difficult question if you experience dissociation, so what we want to focus on in your action plan is stuff that can be observed.

What do you do? What language do you use? What does your voice sound like?
