This is the kinda crazy bullshit that these people say. Using a bit of truth - asylum seekers from African countries coming here - to hang their racist nonsense on

Cameroon, meanwhile is in the midst of a long standing, bloody war between English speakers and French speakers. Both countries can be extremely dangerous if you’re on the wrong side of things.
And yes, people do go to Columbia and other South American countries, and then walk to the border, in order to ask for asylum. That’s because it’s the cheapest way for them in many cases, in others the easiest way to get a visa to the Americas to try for asylum
Flying to, say, JFK airport would be expensive and hard to get a visa. So they come to the southern border, and legally ask for asylum.
But instead of welcoming them in and then processing their asylum request in an orderly, just, and fair manner, we put them in prisons, stack the asylum deck against them and treat them like animals.
Which is morally compromised from jump, but especially so since we demand the world recognize us as the pinnacle of freedom and justice. As the “leader of the free world.” The beacon of democracy, infused with god’s love.
So of course people come looking for the hope, the freedom, the justice we so proudly tout. But it’s all a bunch of lies. And has been.
Buts these are lies we should be trying to make real. Because when manifest, they have the power to reshape our world into a truly good place.
