This is very true.
But I want to point out a few reasons why. Not making an excuse, but identifying the root cause.
I’m focusing on graduates.

A. Those who got into multinationals/structured/semi-structured organizations upon graduation and
B. Those who experienced Nigerian Employers especially in Sole Proprietorship and Partnerships.
A represents maybe 10%
A work environment on auto pilot, you do certain things, you leave even as the CEO.
Some shared the same enthusiasm.
It took me about 3years and the grace of God to near that kind of amount.
Can’t say the same for those that joined Shell and NLNG
I wanted to explain but she told me not to worry that she had worked in a place where you have to follow up to get your salary.
So by 30th even the most senior staff cannot ask.
Salary comes like 5th or 14th.
Or when salary is being owed and the boss will still tell the secretary to book a flight for his babe to Dubai.
Except Ofcourse when your boss travels.
Nobody is dying oo, but you have to work until 10pm and send the work to a senior partner who won’t look at the work for another 2weeks.
I could go on and on..
I can tweet 100 unfair treatments employees get.
So guess who they hire?

I mean.. people that should know better.
I’ve left the office at 10:30 before and I was grumbling to myself because it happened again and I didn’t go anything.

They will even advise you to resign.

Lack of training.
Every time a non civil Servant goes into a government office to get things done, he or she leaves with the regret that they do not possess the power to sack one or two people.
