some questions i hope to be able to ask the former chair of the county republican party: why are you running for state senate as an independent? did you, as he now claims, write jason kessler's petition to recall wes bellamy in early 2017? 
harding is a trustee of the 'friends of cville monuments' and an attorney for the plaintiffs in the lawsuit against the city over our confederate monuments. those monuments he fights to preserve were the main attraction of the event that killed heather heyer.
the 2017 petition to recall wes bellamy was what really launched kessler onto the larger altright scene. if not for the attention he got for the petition he now claims harding wrote for him, he may never have organized the unite the right rally.
i'm sure this is just a symptom of living in a small town, but albemarle county commonwealth's attorney robert tracci paid harding $1000 for campaign services in 2015. in jan 2017, while collecting signatures for the petition that harding allegedly wrote, kessler assaulted a man.
after assaulting the man, kessler went to the magistrate and swore out a complaint that the man had assaulted HIM. this is perjury. he ultimately pleaded guilty to the assault charges but was not indicted for perjury until OCTOBER 2017, after unite the right.
i've seen theories that tracci blew that case on purpose. i have questions about the timing of the indictment & the apparent decision not to prosecute until AFTER kessler became a massive liability, but i watched that trial & tracci's just a bad lawyer.
