TELL YOUR STONE STORY!

Since the very start of the carving workshops, we've heard so many wonderful stories behind the stones and the reasons that inspired you to get involved in the Dry Stone Wall Maze project.

#StoneStories
There have been so many in fact that we thought we'd try to find a way to bring them together to promote the project further and to use them as a basis for a future publication about the maze.
#StoneStories
Would you like to take part? Whether you've ordered initials or attended a workshop, it would be great if you would be willing share your story by adding it this thread (and add a photo if you wish). Tell us your #StoneStory!
And you would like to make your mark with a carved stone or come to a workshop, perhaps as a unique wedding gift, a gift for relatives living faraway or perhaps a stone in memory of a special person. Then visit drystonewallmaze.com/buy-a-stone/ today
Mum bought it for us for our wedding. She said "Go and carve your stone and then your grandkids can come and visit it"

It represents 42 years of marriage, set in stone. We love each other very much.

(And we can tell, even the letters hug each other!)

#StoneStories
We bought it for ourselves, for our 6th wedding anniversary. That's supposed to be wood, but we're in a forest after all!

#StoneStories
We're carving this in memory of my best friend who passed away recently. That's what the little 'bf' stands for.

#StoneStories
I love stone walls and we walk a lot in the Dales and see the cup and ring marks on the moor tops, so we're just doing the same as the people back then really. Leaving our mark.

#StoneStories
I'm local and it's just nice to know it will always be part of the forest.

The horseshoe will represent our horse. But he's black, a bit like the colour of our stone.

#StoneStories
After getting stones for our children, this is the final set. These ones are for us.
