The greatest thing that happened in 2016 was regaining our voices. They were slaughtering us silently before then. Now at least we can scream.
We've also lost our conditioned inferiority. Many dare to answer back and this alone infuriates our superiors.
In a way we are learning to rebel against history. Not real history which is unpredictable, born of hope, founded in choice; but against mechanical history, the canned script of ideology. In the former we are everything. In the latter we don't matter.
