Just saw my first "technically, even if Trump offered a quid pro quo of foreign aid in exchange for interference in the 2020 election, it wasn't legally a bribe."

Don't do this. We know what a bribe is, and our understanding isn't based exclusively on the federal criminal code.
If Trump offered a foreign leader a quid pro quo of hundreds of millions of dollars of aid in exchange for dirt on Joe Biden, let his defenders make the case for why that's not technically a "bribe" under the relevant federal statutes. Don't make it for them.
If what has been alleged actually happened, it was an attempt to bribe. It was an attempt to extort. Call it what it is.
