File under, you can't make this up. Dinesh D'Souza is coming to speak in Portland in November. The building in which he's speaking served as the Woodmen of the World lodge in the 1920s, a lodge with close ties to the KKK.
The Portland KKK held its inaugural, 1921 meeting in the Woodmen of the World Hall. (Note: this was not the same building. The Woodmen built the structure in which D'Souza is speaking in 1925.)
The Woodmen/KKK connection makes sense since the person most responsible for building the 2nd KKK in the 1920s, William J. SImmons, had worked for the Woodmen of the World since 1915.
