Portland has been freaking out over @wweek's biased story that @PortlandPolice colluded with right-wing extremists. That is disinformation. The mayor excoriated our law enforcement for the standard practice of communicating with protesters on both sides. oregonlive.com/crime/2019/02/…
The Mayor now says this news creates a "mandate" for all city staff to be re-educated on how to fight "white supremacy." This is a power grab. portlandoregon.gov/wheeler/articl…
Portland's city council also just voted to pull out of the FBI terrorism task force, saying they devote too many resources to investigating Portland's extreme left-wing groups. They also expressed fears that officials would cooperate with federal authorities on immigration.

At the public townhall event in Portland, activists are launching diatribes against police, accusing them (falsely) of being collaborators with right-wing extremists. They are calling for resignations. When they dislike a speaker, they hiss.
An elderly woman said she doesn’t think streets in Portland should be shut down by activists. Audience tells her to sit down and holds signs up saying “lies.”
Antifa activists are trying to shout down @ChiefDOutlaw, the female black chief of Portland Police.

Woman started off by saying we are on “stolen land.” Crowd claps. She stops & tells them to snap their fingers instead. She wants police to be disbanded. “Blue lives do not matter because they don’t exist.” She calls @ChiefDOutlaw a race traitor of black & brown people. #Portland

Man speaking goes on rant saying that @tedwheeler hired @ChiefDOutlaw as a token black person. He says she is just a “black person” in a “white space” who isn’t looking after her people. Crowd whoops and cheers. #Portland
Haley Adams, a right-wing Jewish #HimToo activist in #Portland shouted at the panel for allowing crowd to mistreat the few conservative citizens from the public who spoke. The mob surrounds her & shouts "NAZI SCUM." She is then kicked out of the @PortlandPolice town hall event.
Blue-haired man went to the front of the #Portland townhall & accused @ChiefDOutlaw of allowing Nazis in the @PortlandPolice force. He said the Proud Boys and alt-right groups are part of the Portland Police "apparatus."
Portland Police had extremely limited presence at the town hall. That was a mistake. Antifa masked up outside & was harassing & following the conservatives who were leaving. There was around 25 of them outside in the dark & no police in sight when I went outside after event.
I think it was a mistake for @ChiefDOutlaw & @tedwheeler to organize the townhall listening session. It was a 2019 woke version of the witch trials, where people now were spuriously accusing others of being racist or Nazis. If you defended yourself, that was evidence of racism.
By their own admission, the mob wants the @PortlandPolice to be disbanded. They are rather candid about this goal. Further, they have no qualms about wanting to use the state to imprison & prosecute their political opponents while allowing themselves to do whatever with impunity.
I managed to speak briefly w/@PortlandPolice @ChiefDOutlaw at last night's town hall. Thank you. @tedwheeler comm staff rebuffed me on the other hand. The chief was subject to horrible, racist comments by progressive public who called her a race traitor. oregonlive.com/news/2019/02/f…
