Joe Biden admitted his son Hunter's Ukraine business dealings were shady; in tonight's Democratic debate, he defended them anyway washex.am/32i8yal
Former Vice President Joe Biden has already acknowledged he had reservations about his son's seedy international business deals and yet at the Democratic presidential primary debate on Tuesday he felt fully confident pretending he never did that.
CNN's Anderson Cooper, who helped moderate the debate, gave a helpful assist to Biden by asserting -- without evidence! -- that Hunter had never done anything afoul while working with a Ukranian gas company as his dad engaged with the country on policy matters.
Biden said that he did nothing wrong and his son did nothing wrong and that the real problem, of course, was Trump.
Except his own son has already acknowledged that at the very least, it was "poor judgement" to take a job that paid him tens of thousands of dollars each month while his dad was making policy decisions with the government of the country that was investigating that very company.
Joe Biden himself has admitted that he knew there was something wrong with what his son was doing.
“At one point that it came out that [Hunter] was on the board [of Ukranian gas company Burisma],” Biden recalled in a recent radio interview, “I said, ‘I sure hope to hell you know what you’re doing.' Period. I said that.”
Asked by the interviewer Jack Heath what exactly it was that concerned Joe Biden about his son and Burisma, the 2020 candidate said, “What his job was.”

Um... Does this not bother Anderson Cooper? Anyone?
