Dear Prospective or Current International Student,

I came across this email and thought I'd share an important story with you.

I received the email below from a contact while trying to navigate my options after my master's degree in Australia.

I was enrolled for a Master of Public Health in 2016.

As you can see, many assumed there was no future (jobs, visas, etc).

Don't get me wrong.

They meant well because it was actually easier to go via other courses.
I chose to stay.

I knew it would be challenging. But I didn't really care. I was actually open to leaving AU.

I kept going.

Sitting in the cramped high school library I sat a table chicken scratching a script outline for a Western style video game.

Hampsterdance plays endlessly on loop as a bunch of freshman giggle uncontrollably at the classic meme.
The principle big bellies up to my desk and asks me to explain what I was doing.

I tell him, “I’ve got this cool idea for a video game. These rough sketches are storyboarding the major plot points… I think there’s room for deeper storytelling in video games.”

I got the understanding of how to do it better.

You can study with deposit fee of CA$3,000 - 5000
Black Market rate is 350-370
Bank rate is lesser

i.e With less than a million Naira or more, you can actually start the processing of your Canadian 🇨🇦 study visa at VFS.

Today we release a new #study for @votesolar that looks at #electrifying and #decarbonizing #Michigan's #economy by 2050. A thread 🧵!
We computed 3 scenario pathways:
1) Duplicated three utilities IRPs
2) Clean economy by 2050 using utility generation
3) Clean economy by 2050 using both utility & distributed generation (via co-optimization)
Main results (1)
Lower costs for customers ($773 p/a for res. + comm. & $70K p/a for industrial) compared with IRP.

1/ #Study #MegaThread

A new study dropped with a trove of data I've long waited for around #CCTA/#CAC scans and #LDL #Cholesterol

✅ >23k studied (!)
✅ Largest sample of CCTA w/ ≥190 #LDL to date (!)
✅ Very uniform study population

Let's unpack...…
2/ First, be sure to check out this short thread from the lead author, @MaBMortensen.

2 quick notes:
a) While there'll be lots of data appreciated by LDL skepticism, @MaBMortensen maintains LDL-C is still "an important causal RF"
b) Usual epi caveats, etc
3/ Okay, so if you've followed me a while, you know just how incredibly thankful I am of studies that seek to avoid common risks of selection bias (Even if entirely unintended).

This study had the distinct advantage of categorically scooping its population directly...

Excited to share my new #study with my colleague Toshiaki Yoshida @to4akiyo4da at @NUPoliSci! We measured strong negative #policy feedback effects of #nuclearpower plants on the overall #socialcapital of cities that host them! Key policy insights for #energy. Tweetorial below!
@to4akiyo4da and I asked, does adopting #nuclearpower strength or weaken cities' civil society? NPPs promised to improve #rural economies, but led to mixed outcomes in Japan (eg. @dojin_tw's article How about civil society?
To measure strength of #civilsociety, we used 4 proxies for social cohesion/#socialcapital: total migration (do people stay or leave?), crime rates (strong norms or not?), voter turnout (are they invested?), winning party vote (strong linking ties to govt or not?)

For those new to this. This is my myocarditis doc at university of Miami doing this study.
-Covid attacks our endothelium, which we have in every aspect of our body. We complain of blood pooling, bad veins, easy brushing, poor circulation, hr and bp issues.
A lot of this is likely from endothelial dysfunction which I believe *may* be the trigger of pots or dysautonomia in many of us.
- I only grew 1 of 6 tubes back showing endothelial dysfunction.

#Fibonacci Retracement How i use it ?
Fibonacci Retracement is a technical analysis tool that i use to locate areas/levels of support & resistance
It is based on the Fibonacci sequence ratios introduced by Leonardo Fibonacci
Measure the rise of price from swing low to swing high (depends on the time frame in use)
This level will give the support levels AND the potential resistances levels once price continue higher
Let's take $FSLY Daily for example
White Arrow : Swing high
Yellow Arrow : Swing low

As you can see it gives us support levels & future potential resistance levels Image

What is it and why you need it in your #TRADINGTIPS

Values generally range from 100 to 150 where the higher the rating, the higher the perceived tail risk and chance of a 2 deviation event. A rating of 125 and below I'm looking for a big bounce 7-45 days out
Notice The $SKEW stayed in the upper range and the highest its ever been since MAY! You could say the Skew was skewed and most of us got skewed!
I have labeled this and used these levels for years now and honestly it can really help you get ready for the bigger sentiment changes
in the #StockMarket, this is a bigger picture and you can really see the value when placing a $SPY chart behind this. Notice the Purple chart shows when SKEW is high this will result in the Pull and when low results in Risk on!

The brilliant psychological ploy #businesses use to trick YOU into overspending.

A thread.👇
A decade ago, behavioral economist Dan Ariely noticed something strange about the subscription option of the international weekly magazine, The Economist.

The options were:
1. Web-only subscription - $59.
2. Print-only subscription - $125.
3. Web + print subscription - $125.
Dan thought what you’re thinking right now - "why would anyone buy the print-only subscription?"

On conducting a #study among MIT students, he found out that 84% chose the web and print option while only 16% of the students chose the web-only option.

Doc I'm stressed, I need a #CoffeeBreak

How trying out #SmallTestsofChange and #PDSA could be used to improve staff #Wellbeing during a long medical ward round

Would be great to see what you think, and if you have tried something like this.

Follow #Thread and click on pics
During a consultant ward round on a 30 bedded respiratory ward, one of our ACP's said that she found the 4-hour long ward round stressful and tiring, and was wondering whether we could include a break of some sort for a cup of tea or coffee #changeidea. To refresh the staff.
The consultant was worried that if we did this, we may not complete ward round by 1pm and potentially delay management of patients. And lead to even more stress!

We live in an attention #economy & what #Tweetiatricians have known for decades (#Twitter started in 2006): importance of drawing attention to factual science-based information as compared to #misinformation & #disinformation, especially on #vaccines…
You have to be fast & prolific to play catch up to this. I have 77K tweets, a moderate sized band of 6K followers interested enough to tolerate my volume but use of hashtags allows reach across Twittersphere. Trending hashtags = better for riding a way for that attention economy
If is unclear if we are now so siloed that tweets are ineffective with anti-vaxx. But not all anti-vaxx are QAnon

But first some key points

There is no Definition of Multiyear breakouts. But if the stock breaks out of its range or any other pattern after 5+ years then it can be considered as multiyear breakout.

Usually this kind of breakout happens due to tailwinds in some sector or due to the disruption in the sector.

For eg: last year due to covid-19, Pharma sector co’s created huge wealth for their investors.
Also look at the IT sector specifically those involved in data related business or AI or ML or any high tech apps, this sector is also getting hot, along with API’s, chemicals and energy sector for next wave of disruption.
