NANS had earlier warned and advised the Governor to stay away from all campus related activities across tertiary institutions in Nigeria due to the killings of promising undergraduates at Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti State by CTU officers attached to the governor's wife,

killed Joseph Okonofua and Kehinde Dada (among several others critically injured) on September 9, 2019 during Erelu Bisi Fayemi's visit to Oye-Ekiti for immediate prosecution.
Those trigger happy officers must face the law no matter how long they are shielded.

Governor Kayode Fayemi and his wife, Bisi Fayemi remain banned on our campuses so long they refuse to allow justice run its cause on the dastardly FUOYE killings. They should maintain a distance of not less than 50 kilometers from our campuses.

We assert that no live is superior to another and that there is no alternative to resolving the issues around the unresolved murder until all demands made by NANS are met.

The report is already in the public domain and all lawful means of pressing for justice will be explored by NANS in bringing to book the perpetrators, irrespective of their social status.

We thank our numerous comrades who kept vigil awaiting the arrival of Dr. John Kayode Fayemi at the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State today.
