Just to be clear (there’s a lot of misconception here): SCIFs aren’t impenetrable faraday cages. The degree to which a SCIF has to have RF shielding depends on what will be in it (such as non-TEMPEST electronics that might have sensitive emissions). And even then, it depends.
So don’t bring your phone into a SCIF. But if you do, don’t be surprised if it rings while you’re there.
