Hi Ben

The thread is on severe declines in species populations, forests, corals, sea ice, etc as we move to 1.6- 2C by 2029.

Only the first point is actually about extinction.

Aren't these reasonable projections?

Is 'catastrophic' by 2029 an absurd exaggeration?

Well, no, it isn't:

Farmland then
-needs heavy doses of fertilizer to be productive
-is prone to erosion & runoff that pollutes waterways
-is more vulnerable to floods & droughts

Et maintenant que vous l’avez fait 😊 vous savez donc que le forçage radiatif est un déséquilibre dans le bilan énergétique de la terre.

Ce déséquilibre se fait par rapport à un état stable, donc il est calculé relatif à l’année 1750 qui est l’aube de l’ère industrielle.
