so what would make for a perfect Dragon Ball movie?

this is something @Nelsonsaysbooya and I were talking about for a while, and then @Danny8bit came in and made it perfect

I present to you: a canon Tree of Might, only... Goku doesn't fight Turles at the end

but how? why?

@Nelsonsaysbooya @Danny8bit now, if there's one thing Dragon Ball is legit bad at, it's making use of its great supporting cast

sure, everybody gets to do *something,* but that "something" is usually just stalling until Goku (or in rare cases) Vegeta or Gohan can come in and kick ass

@Nelsonsaysbooya @Danny8bit this is why I loved Super, and most of the Tournament of Power--that huge supporting cast actually got legitimate things to do, and were given unique roles, like Gohan as a field commander and 17 doing what Goku and Vegeta never would: stay on the point

well, one day, a meteor crash-lands on Earth and out sprouts a massive tree that drains the planet

the gang shows up to fight it, only... everyone above a certain power level are mere shells of their former selves

@Nelsonsaysbooya @Danny8bit no Super Saiyans, no Fusion, no Androids, and Piccolo only just barely makes the cut

see, this Turles is weak as hell for a Saiyan, and wants to level the playing field (also he wouldn't just be palette-swap Goku)

and he has an army, and he's got generic bad guy plans too

@Nelsonsaysbooya @Danny8bit so with all the Saiyans (and Beerus and Whis!) unable to help, it's up to Earth's Mightiest Heroes to have an actual knock-down, drag out brawl against someone who's still tougher than all of them
