1. I have been tweeting a ton about the campaign to #SaveLodge49 and I want to explain a little why this show has come to mean so much to me in such a short time.
2. I can’t tell you about the show. I wish I could and I am not trying to be coy, or save you from spoilers. It’s because nothing I could write would adequately cover everything it is and why I think it is important the story continue. #SaveLodge49
3. Each and every character is charming. Dud radiates the positivity I wish I had, Liz carries a weight I wish I didn’t feel so close to, Ernie is trying to make a career out of a job, and Blaise is looking to unlock the mysteries of the universe. #SaveLodge49
4. Connie is searching for her identity away from her role for other people, Scott is committed to make something work, even if it is only for his reasons. & I am not trying to overlook all the other characters that populate this world. All very real, gently flawed, & lovable.
5. Chalk this up to amazing performances from Wyatt Russell, @LindaEmondNYC @EricAllanKramer @DPasquesi @BrentMJennings @IAM_THE_ATKINS @isthisdavidury @GroovyBruce and so many more! #SaveLodge49
6. The writing is so beguiling, inviting you into the mystery of Lodge 49, and the direction on the show is top notch. Huge thanks to for crafting this tale and helping bring it to life. @jimatdeltaco @jakeschreier and so many others!
7. The show reminds me of the best elements of movies from Hal Ashby, Preston Sturgess, @TerryGilliam and @edgarwright . TV series like The Good Place, Parks & Rec, @KenTremendous, The Mighty Boosh, yet it is like none of these things.
8. The world building, myth making and genuine love for the humanity of its characters reminds me of @straczynski @neilhimself @grantmorrison David Foster Wallace, and Tom Robbins.
9. My wife and I just started season two tonight. Holy crackers was the beginning amazing! If I hadn’t been up since 4:00 am, we would be up all night binging the rest. I have no idea where this could all be heading. #SaveLodge49
10. I just hope we get to see it through to the end. The world of Lodge 49 is full of amiable mystery, a renewing sense of wonder, and is awash in kindness that is all to rare these days. It reconnects is to our humanity and each other. #SaveLodge49
11. I hope another network/service provider picks the show up. It deserves a chance to tell the story it intended. In the show, Lodge 49 is a place where people can form bonds, and seeing others tweet to save show has a similar feel.
12. I don’t want to spoil any of the joy of seeing the show on your own, as my words will never capture it. I just hope more people find it, as I think more people need this kind of story shared in their life. I hope the twitter storm will light a fire and #SaveLodge49
