Rounding out vacation with a Nam June Paik exhibit. A majority of exhibits use CRT televisions and monitors and that has an issue
Because of the reliance on tube televisions, the exhibits are straying further and further from the original technology as it dies

I'm sure the planning meetings are energetic aroubd this issue
What becomes of the art when it can't be preserved and shown the original way? This interests me for some reason
They are already using screens and projectors manufactured after Paik's death now. Soon they'll all be that.
Meanwhile, we will have to make do.
