It's worth remembering that while Mike Bloomberg likes to sell himself as a hard-headed businessman who just follows the evidence, he believes against all evidence that Wall Street wasn't to blame for the 2008 crisis. rortybomb.wordpress.com/2011/11/01/blo…
The truth is that Fannie and Freddie were losing market share to private lenders during the bubble years. And Community Reinvestment Act-compliant loans were only a small share of subprime, and didn't go bust at a higher rate. ritholtz.com/2011/11/examin…
The point is that it's difficult to get Mike Bloomberg to understand something when his salary depends on him not understanding it. Impossible even.

I mean, thinking that Wall Street wasn't to blame for the 2008 crisis is failing a pretty basic IQ test...
