Rep. Benjamin Kalu moved a motion on the urgent need to investigate the failure of the NDDC to submit its 2019 budget estimate for consideration and approval. #HousePlenary

Rep. Kalu added that no public fund should be spent without due approval from National Assembly. He called on NDDC to suspend any further financial obligations except personnel cost. #HousePlenary

The Deputy Speaker Rep. @HonAhmedWase proposed an amendment to ensure the investigation dates back to 3 years to enable the House get a bigger picture. The motion voted on, adopted as amended and referred to the House Committee on NDDC. #HousePlenary

Speaker @femigbaja moved to the floor to address the House before consideration of the Committee report on Bill to Provide for the Smooth and Orderly Transfer of Power from one Government to Another.

The Speaker, who sponsored the bill, said it seeks to address previous abnormalities when transiting from one Government to another in a seamless fashion in line with International Best Practices. #HousePlenary

Speaker @femigbaja also address the House for a consideration of report on a Bill to Amend the Labour Act and make further provisions for the Compulsory Registration of all Foreign Employers of Labour in Nigeria. #HousePlenary

He added that the Bill aims to ensure adequate data on foreign employers of Labor for adequate regulation and for adequate revenue generation. #HousePlenary
