A motion on the need to resuscitate abandoned industries in Nigeria was raised by Rep. Nnaji Nnolim John and seconded by Rep. Musa Mohammed. Rep. Nnolim in leading the debate said the move was aimed at encouraging diversification of the economy through industrialization.
He added that if Industries like the coal mines are revived, there will be more employment and business opportunities for the teeming population. The motion was voted on and adopted.

A motion on the urgent need to install scanning machines in Nigerian ports was raised by Rep. Nichola Ossai and was seconded by Rep. Julius Pondi. Rep. Ossai, leading the debate, explained how the absence of scanning machines in the ports slows down the clearing of goods...
which leads to demurrage and unnecessary congestion of the ports. He said, if adopted, will not only help to aid doing business in Nigeria but also help in generating revenue to fund subsequent budgets. #HousePlenary
