THE SPIRIT OF WADATA PROPHECY
A medical doctor, who grew up in a town called Eziobodo, somewhere after Owerri in Imo, had this childhood sweetheart, Amara (not her real name), that they attended the town's LA primary school together. People referred to them as husband and wife.
Even as teenagers, they continued living the fantasy of lovers as most neighbours desired, and they did all through their secondary school days, until they finished WAEC, and the medical doctor left for the university to study medicine. However, Amara remained in the village.
Amara made a vocation out of hair weaving in the village. She refused all suitors seeking her in marriage, on the expectations that her doctor boyfriend will return to marry her. The doctor during a visit to the village was shocked to know Amara truly was hoping they'd marry.
The doctor tried explaining that all they shared as children lovers were mere fantasies he didnt expect Amara to take serious as an adult. But Amara obstinately held steadfast to her dream of marrying him & living with him in Lagos, despite that she could barely speak in English.
The doctor was deeply concerned she hadn't gone past school cert, even if there'd be an iota of thoughts to marrying her. Persuading his childhood village lover to move on went on into years, and the unbelievable happened when he thought the lady had had a hold of her emotions.
The doctor during a Christmas period attended church at the village. He didnt know Amara still attend the church, which they attended as kids. The church is the type where people can be hijacked by the spirit without notice to start fore telling things in tongues, as in a vision.
The doctor, whose native name is Uche was surprised when the spirit of prophesy came upon Amara during the service and she started saying, "Ucheeee!!! Amara is your wife! Amara is your wife! Marry her!!!! And she continued this weird prophecy, wriggling in circular gyrations.
Uche returned to Lagos troubled by Amara's prophecy about marrying her. When he shared his ordeal with his pastor, he was told he needn't worry that the spirit in the village can't outsmart the spirit in Lagos, that he will equally go back to the village and prophesy too. 😀
Uche chose an auspicious village event, where Amara's parents & relatives were present in church, to enter his own spiritual trance, and started prophesying, "Amara!! Uche will not marry you! The spirit says:
He is not your husband!
He is not your husband!
He is not your husband!
Not accustomed to Cele kind of gyration that accompanies prophesying, Uche started doing the hiphop dance we use to call "running man," to drive home his prophecy.
There's no honour among thieves. May more of this wadata prophecy come upon Henry & Tutu. Invictus don jam Mompha!
