Here he is as one of the leads in his middle school production of The Little Prince. I think it was hard to go from being cast as a lead to not even making the cut in high school. 
When I asked him why this audition was so important, he said it was Richard III, his favorite Shakespeare play. He’s a serious Shakespeare nerd.
He’s bummed because the high school theater department does a LOT of musicals and this was his chance for this year to do a real play.

At first he said he wasn’t going to bother going to physicality auditions, which are tomorrow.
After a bit of encouragement from the Twitterverse, he’s ready to go back out there and fail again tomorrow. 😂
