Again, I'm open to the argument that this interpretation is an overreach and the CRA would need to be amended to cover Jews, but the attempts to portray an obvious anti-discrimination measure as malicious just because it's Trump is insane.

What is wrong with you people?
It seriously is terrifying that so many people can react to a measure extending civil rights protections to Jews with such anger and disgust. You have a bunch of blue-checks comparing legal protections for Jews to Nazism.

Partisanship is one hell of a drug.
The really crazy part is many of those same blue checks are also currently supporting the idea of courts interpreting Article VII's ban on employer discrimination based on sex to also apply to sexual orientation and sexual identity.

California, desperate to make life worse for normal people while pretending to help, has effectively killed freelance writing in the state. Their main target was Uber, but as is typical with such big government policies, the consequences go far beyond that.
It’s going to suck when services like Uber, Lyft, DoorDash etc. inevitably aren’t available in many CA markets while those who relied on contract work no longer have jobs.

I’m sure it will make those CA residents feel better when CA Dems say they were just trying to help.
Here is the chief sponsor of the bill telling those complaining about their lost jobs that they just don't understand what's best for them (She is, unsurprisingly, a Warren fan in case you were wondering how you get these brilliant proposals federally):

Some people seem to be convinced that Jews shouldn’t be allowed to buy houses and live in certain areas or they are deserving of violence against them.

You see it all the time in the commentary re settlements in the Middle East.
According to some: The main impediment to peace in the Middle East is supposedly Jews building houses in the wrong locations. Apparently that’s also the main impediment to peace in New Jersey.
The problem is never the people who want to kill Jews just for being Jewish. Its not those that excuse or even reward such hatred. Nope. It’s Jews buying and building houses in the wrong neighborhood.

I mean I just did 10 different searches of @marceelias 's tweets. Can't find one instance of him directly calling out anti-Semitism on the left. Only him calling it out on the right.

Instead he lectures/attacks others who raise concerns about it being normalized on that side.
@marceelias So tired of this because it's so dishonest. If you don't care about anti-Semitism among your political allies and those who tolerate it, then at least have the decency to be quiet.

Instead these guys provide cover for their bigoted allies while pretending to care about it.
@marceelias Go ahead and search my tweets. See how many thousands of times I've called out bigotry and anti-Semitism on the right. As @SethAMandel points out, apparently we just can't expect any similar consistent on the left.

Fine. At least skip the lectures.

again, the concept that Jews are a distinct 'nation' living among but not of the nation-states of which they were citizens is *literally* a main source of the antisemitic ideas that Jews are fifth columns & foreign infiltrators whose primary loyalty is only to other Jews
this way of conceptualizing Jewish identity - as a trans/international nationality, the wandering Jew, living everywhere but loyal to nowhere - was the core of centuries of antisemitism in both Europe and the United States & was central to the Protocols, Mein Kampf, etc. etc.
Trump's explicit motivation for this is to make it easier for him to use the gov't to target Muslims & Palestinian student movements who protest Israel on campus, but his means mirrors the ethnonationalist concept of identity that underpins everything he says about America & Jews

You also have policies prohibiting discrimination "of any kind" on your premises.
In 2019, the BC Human Rights Tribunal ruled in "Oger v Whatcott BCHRT 2019 (7)" that displaying material advertising an intention to discriminate on explicitly-prohibited grounds or urging others to do so was prohibited discrimination.

Fighting racism is not for the faint of heart. Abuse of authority in the federal government is a crime. It is not only against the law but, if proven, it is considered a misdemeanor. What are we willing to do to combat systemic U.S. government racism? Are we willing to speak up?
Are we willing2risk being socially/professionally ostracized? Are we willing2be a victim's witness? Are we willing2lend a shoulder so he/she can cry on? Are we willing2just seat & listen? Are we willing2ask poignant questions & help victims fight racism through the legal system?
Are we willing to accompany the victim through thick and thin? Are we willing to put up and listen to the same complaints over and over again, until the victim processes his/her pain and trauma? What are we doing about it? Tonight let's ask ourselves THAT question #Discrimination

The NYPD recorded 184 hate crimes through June 2 — up from 112 in 2018 — during a period when the city experienced a continued reduction in overall crimes.

Of the 184 incidents, 110 targeted Jews, up from 58 in 2018.

Anti-Semitism predates Israel, predates the Holocaust, predates the Inquisition, the Crusades, the Romans. It has been a persistent drumbeat throughout history. Those who use the most-modern excuses to hate or scapegoat Jews are simply another beat in an ancient rhythm.
Anti-Semitism is the most ancient of conspiracy theories, one that adapts to every era. From right to left, anti-Semitism seeks out Jews, defines them as a power far beyond their real numbers, then denies them humanity, nationhood, legitimacy, and in many cases life itself.
Those who believe Israel should be condemned above all nations, who are ignorant of history beyond the latest headline, should take a look at the words being used to condemn “Zionism” and see them in context of a long line of excuses to keep anti-Semitism alive.
