This has been an especially hard semester. Thank you to the students who got me through. The students growing. The students working. The students fighting for a better world. The students taking care of each other. The students growing. The students showing up.
People like to complain about the next generation, but what I’ve seen is a group of people determined to make the world better and who will not accept anything less than a human and dignified future.
My university was the site of some truly heinous activity these last few months and this generation that people like to label as selfish and soft and apathetic showed up, spent hours decrying hate and malfeasance, and made a difference. Anyone yelling snowflake is in total denial
