.@GovernorTomWolf @SenKillion @RepChrisQuinn @PAAttorneyGen @FettermanLt It is a-fucking-bysmal that Pennsylvanians have to go into 2020 still without a viable emergency plan in the event the Mariner East Pipeline leaks and ignites and that @GovernorTomWolf allows this occur, 1/
Hasn’t stepped in to provide Pennsylvanians any additional sense of security AT ALL and continues to put the oil and gas fossil fuel industry ahead of the health and safety and Pennsylvanians and the welfare of our earth. His Restore PA initiative would bind PA to 2/
20 more years of water polluting, cancer causing, human life taking fracking. He has actively put other priorities ahead of the lives of Pennsylvanians. The legacy he is building is irrational, profit driven and life taking. It’s criminally sad. 3/
The reason there is no viable safety plan in place with regards to Mariner East is multi-fold: the materials being pressured through the lines are so highly volatile that given a leak with ignition, the blast radius could be 1/2 mile or more. Of incineration. These lines have 4/
Been and are being installed through high consequence areas - next to schools, through residential neighborhoods, next to healthcare facilities and businesses, under little league fields for God’s sake. @PA_PUC has allowed this to happen. @FettermanLt has told residents that 5/
“No one should have to live in these conditions.” Yet since being elected, has left all of those residents behind and done nothing to at least try to protect them and their children. 6/
Furthermore, if an HVL pipeline leaks at a valve station that sits 100 feet east of a residential neighborhood on higher ground, and then ignites: that neighborhood of homes will be incinerated and all of the people in those homes at that time will then be DEAD. 7/
It is an impossible task to ask @ThornburyDelco Twp to prepare for that. Unless they are planning with @PEMAHQ for how many body bags they will need for a recovery mission. What a sad state of affairs PA is in with regards to private property rights being infringed on by this 8/
Reckless project, the health and safety of Pennsylvanians who live, work, go to school, travel through the blast zone radius of the pipelines and the general destruction of our one earth for the sake of an out of state company’s profit margin. Outside of a hand full of elected 9/
Officials (@RepDanielle, @SenatorDinniman, @SenatorMuth to name a few of the fearless, brave reps of the people who have fought with everything they have to protect us), We have seen virtually no action from those in power to PRO-ACTIVELY Ensure that Pennsylvanians will 10/
Remain safe from a potential catastrophic disaster and massive loss of life. Shame on those who have sat idly by and done little to nothing to protect PA. 2020, the year we, who get nothing but the risk of loss of life continue our fight to ensure the Mariner East Pipeline 11/
.@PennBat highly recommend researching @PA_PSERS involvement and investment in Energy Transfer, the company begins Mariner East. The PA public school pension fund is not only supporting a fossil fuel company destroying our planet / country / state 1/
But also, one that has put at least 40 schools full of teachers and children’s lives at risk as a result of their HVL lines. fractracker.org/me2-list-of-sc…
