I'm a #DraftWarren guy from 2015.

I take no pleasure in saying this, but Warren's duplicitous nature and backstabbing has driven me from accepting her as a second choice even though she abandoned my core issues, to now demanding that I want my money back.

The POLITICO story was ridiculous and I thought could just be a reporter trying to make a buzz for himself. Clearly that memo wasn't widely circulated, and was deleted from the internal Slack (FWIW, I'm in the Bernie Slack, never saw that memo - don't think it lasted long).

But then Warren herself comments publicly on the story, amplifying it, legitimizing it, and then instigating it by saying "Bernie has his volunteers out there trashing me."

I'm a Bernie volunteer. I would've been a Warren volunteer.

We don't even discuss other candidates.

Like magic, her campaign sends out a fundraising email; I get these emails, because yes, I'm a Warren donor. I donated to her campaign several times this cycle, repeatedly..

The fundraising email furthers the false narrative, that Bernie is attacking her.

Not even 24 hrs later, CNN publishes a story that suggests Sanders, who begged Warren to run in '16, would then tell her that a woman couldn't win the Presidency?

After Clinton herself just went in the undeniable favorite and won the popular vote by 3 million votes?

Really???

Then to boot, the sources for this story are 2 Warren campaign advisers and 2 of Warren's personal friends? All anonymous?

To make it worse, Warren's campaign, that chose to comment on the POLITICO story, with Warren herself on the record, refuses to comment on the CNN piece?

I'm sorry but I wasn't born yesterday, and this isn't my first rodeo. I've been involved in grassroots Dem activism and campaigning going on two decades. I've seen my share of ratf*cking, and this is clearly that.

This entire newscycle has been a coordinated Warren attack.

The use of a former Breitbart writer to publish a poorly sourced piece about a deleted internal memo. The readiness of Warren to comment on it openly and aggressively. The immediate fundraising email. The follow-up by CNN.

Clearly, the intention here is to do damage to Sanders.

I think her strategy of attacking Buttigieg largely failed, and now she's going after the last batch of voters she can, and using the kitchen sink to do it - progressive movement be damned.

I can't get with that kind of politics, or that kind of candidate.

Count me out.
