You know... I've never actually had a long-form conversation with a Warren supporter?

I've tried. Interacted with a few, but it goes nowhere.

I'm told, invariably, "she has plans." When we get into comparing plans, the conversation breaks down and they just stop talking.
Unfortunately, I think many people just like "middle ground" solutions, and see Warren as some sort of compromise (for the sake of compromise), between the progressive left and the neoliberal center.

Why fight, when you can just hash it out and meet in the middle with Warren?
And unfortunately, they don't really consider that "meeting in the middle" isn't actually the middle of the left. It's the middle between left and right; i.e. the center. Or in an international context; the center-right.

With Warren, they concede the fight before it even begins.
Sadly, and not to be hostile but, the only conclusion I can derive, as a PoC who has been politically active my entirely life (bcuz what choice do I have otherwise given how this country treats Black people); is that Warren supporters are basically the Silent Majority Democrats.
Simply put, Warren is the path of least resistance.

You don't have to actually do anything to support Warren and project your liberalism or your feminism. It's entailed, as far as you deem necessary, in the choice itself.

There's no fight that needs to be waged.
Warren is the candidate for those who think street protests are disruptive; the "All Lives Matter" Democrat.

She's the candidate of the kind of liberal who quietly scoffed at Occupy Wall St.; or thinks Palestinians and Israelis are surely equally responsible for the occupation.
Point being is that supporting Warren entails no moral or ethical obligation to a larger leftist socioeconomic movement.

It's the laziest mental and philosophical choice available for someone who wants people to think they're informed enough to be taken seriously.
