First, understand that ALL COMMERCIAL SALES REQUIRE A BACKGROUND CHECK!
That is not necessarily true for Private-to-Private sales, but every SN# on every gun in the US *should* eventually track to *somebody*.
Once you get to that *somebody*... you can chase leads (connect dots)

However... we have a recent issue with ‘Ghost Guns’ - there are to types of guns that are referenced with that term.
1. There is no serial number
2. There is, but they cannot connect it to a transaction in their system

That is, to say, that the Feds made concerted efforts to ID/track/prosecute the operations illegally manufacturing & selling.
There have been operations that go out of their way to skirt the laws - they have been putting pressure on it.
But what about the guns that have SN#?!

The article doesn’t say that 3 of 5 are *without* serial numbers; it says they cannot track.
This is a different type of ‘ghost gun’... that no one wants to talk about.

Over 2k Firearms from @wesleyfelixpsi’s family gun store in Las Vegas, NV were PLUNDERED... by what he claims were federal agents.
They are gone - they have serial #’s, but won’t connect to a ‘purchase’.

That’s not to say that there isn’t a paper trail *at all* - those 2k firearms that are missing will have paperwork showing they were sent to the National Survival store...
But there won’t be paperwork after that; fed agents won’t be able to trace them to a sale to an individual.

The ATF won’t be able to track these to a point of sale; Wesley’s Uncle was locked up during these transactions!

There are many other store owners with similar stories as Wesley; many of their stories involve the same Federal Agents, and/or same ‘informants’.
If the FBI & ATF really want leads on those guns... JUST PUBLISH THE SERIAL NUMBERS AND LET PPL LIKE WES TAKE A LOOK!
