Wow the list is illuminating - Jewish orgs must condemn Israel before they are 'permitted' to advise on anti-Jewish racism. A quid pro quo not demanded of other communities and is itself antisemitic as it is holding Jews collectively responsible for actions of the state of Israel
As per the IHRA working definition of antisemitism. Not a perfect document by any means but "Rachel Swindon"'s list is a very good example of why this can sometimes become antisemitic. It's really saying racism is OK against Jews who won't "condemn Israel" holocaustremembrance.com/working-defini…
For those wondering what on earth this list is about - it comes from a group of Labour supporters who I think genuinely believe that any complaint about antisemitism is purely and therefore disingenuously a factional attack on the 'left' of the party
and any Jewish organisation no matter how many Jewish people it represents which raises antisemitism or (heaven forfend) demands action must be acting for an ulterior motive, usually as a secret agent of the Israeli government or anti-socialist and therefore "Tory"
Therefore, in order to be listened to the demand is made for a loyalty pledge to the 'left labour' faction, which is utterly absurd. This kind of ultra factionalism and conspiracy theorising is very common in my experience of the current Labour movement
See in its extreme form the reaction to the 68 cross-demoninational rabbis who wrote to the party (thejc.com/news/uk-news/r…) or indeed the Chief Rabbi's intervention during the election campaign
If you accept that antisemitism in Labour exists and is a serious issue, then you can easily see how how the conspiratorial accusations and shrill loyalty demands can shade into victim blaming and antisemitism (which is often expressed as Jews having sinister ulterior motives)
