H G Infra Engineering has received letter of award (LoA) from Adani Transport worth ₹ 950.79 crore.

Adani got into Road Infra business in 2018 and got two big projects worth ₹2,923.2 Crores, just like that.

I tried to tag and map the number of speed-breakers / road-humps inside Electronic City Phase-1 & 2 township.

I could spot 80 speed-breakers within 17.9 km, i.e., 4.5 humps/km. This analysis is to root cause the high traffic snarls in EC Phase-1.

Some context: Electronic City(EC) is an Industrial Township in Bengaluru, housing 158 companies including India's largest IT companies Infosys, Wipro, TCS and Tech Mahindra.

More than 1 lakh people work here.

EC is under Electronics City Industrial Township Area (ELCITA), not under the Bengaluru City Corporation(BBMP).

ELCITA has board members from Industries and has expert committees to manage various functions of the townships including traffic.

Some background: There were two major tribes in Rwanda called Hutu and Tutsi. The Hutus were a majority and Tutsi minorities. Hutus were in power. (1/6)

The approval of #Adani’s groundwater plans is a disgrace and shows that the whole system is rigged and broken. This is not about any specific allegation of corruption, but the rules of the whole system being unfit for purpose. Here’s a thread on a few ways the system is rigged:
QC @StephenKeim1 has said that: “the default position of mining law in Queensland is that mining should proceed because exploiting the earth is ordained.” The existing system fails to adequately consider the climate damage impacts of a proposed project.
Notoriously there is legal approval that asks directly “given that we are in a state of climate emergency, should this project proceed?” Logically, it is impossible to justify the Adani mine in the face of climate emergency.

Elena era hija de un pescador y ama de casa. Era la mayor de 3 hermanas. Cuando su madre iba con su padre a ayudarle cuidaba de sus hermanas. Ahorraba lo poco que podía y soñaba con viajar y conocer los sitios que aparecían en la tele. Cuando sus tareas le dejaban estudiaba.
