They know how it works. They know that Senate trials mean additional witnesses and new documents. They’re just pretending otherwise to protect Trump.

@RepZoeLofgren When Trump finally released the aid on September 11, the administration offered no explanation—and certainly none of the explanations they have since claimed.

@RepAdamSchiff @RepJeffries Giuliani and Yermak met in Madrid a week later.
Everybody involved came away with the same understanding: Zelensky needed to announce the investigations Trump wanted.
@RepAdamSchiff @RepJeffries When talks failed to move things forward, Volker contacted Giuliani—who'd said he was there doing the president's personal business, who wasn't conducting foreign policy.
That's not how you follow legitimate objectives. It's how you pursue a corrupt one.

It's Article I.

"But, Ira – Article I is titled 'ABUSE OF POWER', not 'BRIBERY', so how can you say that?"

As we know, Article II of the Constitution states an official may be impeached for "Bribery".

But when the House has impeached officials for having committed bribery, has the House actually impeached them verbatim for "Bribery"? 🤔

Let's look at two cases...

In 1988 the House impeached Judge Alcee Hastings for having committed bribery, but they didn't impeach him verbatim for "Bribery."

Here's Article I which has been called the "bribery" article, yet note: The word "bribery" never appears.

Puzzling, huh?

2/ First, I just want to say this is not a commentary on Iraqi politics in general. I am not an Iraq expert, but I am interested in online opinion manipulation or campaigns. What follows is an analysis of tweets only...
3/I analysed about 16,700 tweets, replies, retweets from the hashtag I mentioned in Tweet 1. These tweets were produced by around 6,500 unique accounts. Most of the tweets were quite crude, and looked like what you see below, full of hashtags, some describing a 'revolution'>

It’s NOT easy to get rid of a sitting president.

The steps in the process for impeaching a president are:

1– an impeachment resolution must be introduced by a member of the House of Representatives.
— The speaker of the House must then direct the U.S. House Committee on the Judiciary (or a special committee) to hold a hearing on the resolution to decide whether to put the measure to a vote by the full chamber and when to hold such a vote.
A simple majority of the Judiciary Committee must approve the resolution.

If the Judiciary Committee approves the resolution, it moves to a full vote on the House floor.

If a simple majority of the those present and voting in the House approve an article of impeachment,
