So. Let's say information going to a campaign is not mandated to be included in FEC reports.

For something somebody happens to know offhand, that's reasonable.

But when something is not known IN ADVANCE and requires research, which most people don't do for free:
when a foreign nation-state's intelligence apparatus dedicates a full division solely to a months-long operation to access, exfiltrate, and weaponize information via theft -

it has value to them.

Share that info with the opposition & it inherits the value of the expenditure.
If information is solicited, and is not immediately on hand, if it requires additional effort to procure - that is unquestionably soliciting a thing of value.

So, the Obama administration withheld lethal assistance that was authorized by Congress for Ukraine, but
a) informed Congress of that decision
b) provided alternate military assistance in its stead
c) while continuing to honor the Budapest Memorandum.
d) followed through.
The Trump administration
a) provided lethal assistance to Ukraine for 1 year (gave them a taste for free )
b ) Ukraine incurred sunk costs - an investment of UKR resources for training and maintenance, and got them hooked
c) increased the cost to include providing election assistance for Trump, with a hard deadline that would result in them being cut off for a year if they chose to ignore the cost... i.e. threatened to cut them off while they were jonesing

@RepJeffries Just not showing up is not supported by any law.

There may be questions that individuals like Don McGahn could answer about Trump activities or statements made OUTSIDE THE scope of any relevant priviledge - i.e. during the campaign - that would go towards intent...
Anyone involved in the administration or the President's legal team who had any interaction with Trump outside of and/or prior to the inauguration should be require to show up, and to answer all questions except those for which the White House explicitly asserts privilege...

Wanted to read something light and entertaining during my short summer vacation, so I picked "How to Fail at Almost Everything and Still Win Big" by Scott Adams.

It seems I couldn't have picked a better book. Fantastic summer read.

A failure is a tool, not an outcome. It’s a tool that tries to teach you something, do not let it go until you have learned its lesson. Everyone will quit after failing a couple of times, use that to your advantage.

The #AugarReview is out today. I haven’t finished reading it, but here are some first impressions.

There’s much to praise. It’s measured and well argued, but ultimately it won’t solve the problem of post-18 education funding.

The return of maintenance grants is the biggest positive, intended to end inquity of the poorest students graduating with the highest debts. #AugarReview
The reduction of fees to £7.5k is not enough to achieve anything positive for students. Anyone put off by £9,250 isn’t going to see it as a bargain and it will benefit only the graduates who earn most and won’t repay for as long #AugarReview

Taehyung looks back at the boy, glare deadly as he watches him completely ignore Taehyung's existence.

"Jimin, ple-"
The boy starts to reach forward to touch Jimin and Taehyung has had enough, stepping behind Jimin to block the boy from being able to lay a finger on the older.

"-Umm..?" The boy finally acknowledges Taehyung's presence.
Taehyung doesn't move, though, doesn't look back either as he stands behind Jimin, holding him close, the sudden urge to protect the one he loves taking over his entire body.
