Asiwaju Yinka Mafe is the former Majority Leader Ogun State House of Assembly 2015-2019.

He contested for the House of Representative seat under APM in the last 2019 general elections.

Today he is Late! He was reportedly dead on his birthday....
shortly after he complained of chest pain 💔💔💔.

We might not have agreed on a Lot of things... But definitely not DEATH!

The news of His death keeps me mum and weak... Life is indeed Futility upon Vanity... We breathe today the next second we are Dead! 😨 .
I join his Family, Political associates, friends and loved ones in mourning his Irredeemable loss.

This is an attestation that all soul shall taste Death ⚰ .
May his Soul rest in peace and may the Almighty grant the family the fortitude to bear his loss and finally, may the Almighty console the Family.

Today makes it 159 days since Agba Jalingo was arrested and 125 days he has been remanded in prison just because he exposed @senatorbenayade 500M microfinance fraud. #FreeAgbaJalingo
And yesterday the same Governor who had locked up Agba Jalingo accusing of him of treason says he is not be blamed for the but General Buhari because the matter in court reads Agba Jalingo and the Federal Government.
My question is How do we tell our unborn children that exposing a Governor for Fraud is a prerequisite to overthrow the President as acclaimed by @senatorbenayade of Cross River State? What is the correlation between Journalism and Terrorism? #FreeAgbaJalingoNow

As an addendum to my earlier post on the basics of politics, I think we need to discuss the team that make up each arm of the Government at the various tiers and what we should be demanding from them.
t is important to remind us that Nigeria operates a bi-camera legislative system which implies that at the Federal Government tier, we have 2 houses that perform the legislative functions - Senate and the House of Representatives.
The senate is the upper house while the lower house is the House of Representatives. We have 109 senators - 3 from each state and 1 from the FCT and 360 House of Representative members- this is derived by the number of Federal constituency per state which is in variation.

Found some time to work sporadically on looking at 2018 ksleg candidate filings and announcements. Lots of interesting races shaping up. Hopefully Twitter will let me put all of these into 1 thread. We'll find out... Let's look district by district at what's going on...
1st, there is 1 special in the KS senate this year in district 13 around Pittsburg. No one has filed to challenge the appointed conservative incumbent Richard Hilderbrand. Trump won here by 35 points, Brownback by 4, Romney by 16. Worth watching primary & general if anyone files.
Now let's look at ksleg state house races. I'll go by house district #. Some races take 2-3 tweets. Also, I probably overlooked some candidates unintentionally. Feel free to let me know if you can do it without being a jerk face. Y'all are getting this 411 for free after all.
