Prosecutors argued that Stone's remarks to Credico convinced him to plead the 5th at House Intel. But Credico testified that he took the advice of his lawyers and other associates, including Stone, in deciding to take 5th.
And just my own opinion, but Stone's remarks to Credico always seemed to be just a guy talking shit to his frenemy rather than an actual threat of violence. But media hyped it relentlessly as witness tampering.
