Learning, learning, and forgetting.

Some of you might remember this thread from last November, about me learning a type of ankle hang on #aerial hoop.

The class I’ve been taking regularly since September won’t meet in the next two months—the instructor is injured. 1/
In the thread linked above I mentioned practicing three different types of ankle hangs, and managing to fully do only one.

Since then I’ve also learned to do another one of those three.

Watch me do “running man”! 2/
I’m posting the video here as an accomplishment because who knows whether I will still have the technique and strength to do it again in two months or more.

Learning something one month, forgetting how to do it in the course of another. 3/
To replace my course, I’ve signed up for aerial silks again, which is much harder than hoop & trapeze and which I haven’t done in more than a year. Who knows if I still even get up on the silks! I know it will be a frustrating experience. #tissu 4/
